Dixons Allerton Academy, Bradford

Commissioned by Bradford Council to design, manufacture and install the interior and exterior signage elements for the newly founded Dixons Allerton Academy.

Scriptus provided a bespoke and eye catching signage solution for the health and science specialists.

A landmark educational establishment in Bradford since 1958, the transition of Rhodesway School into the Dixons Allerton Academy took place during the summer holidays of this year, with a tight timescale set... which was of course met.

Liaising with the Academy's staff and a designated designer to ensure all graphical elements mirrored the new brand identity, Scriptus advised on the materials and designs, creating a robust and cost effective, yet dynamic, solution.

The face of the new academy consists of a mixture of PVC banners and decorated aluminium panels externally, matched with the internal features of removable inserts and tamper-proof covers, making the signs easy to amend should new classes be scheduled or members of staff appointed.

The objectives and considerations surrounding the project were maximising the ease of navigation around such a large site, and the simplicity of replicating the signage to keep it all in line with the Academy brand.

The services commissioned by Bradford Council included signage consultancy, signage design, wayfinding audits and wayfinding strategy.
